From Street to Sofa: Changing Fates, One Heartbeat at a Times
Our organisation works to improve animal welfare, community wellbeing, and environmental outcomes by reducing stray and abandoned cat populations through desexing and humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programmes. We remove financial barriers to responsible pet ownership by providing subsidised desexing, microchipping, and support services to low-income households, helping prevent unwanted litters and reducing the long-term impacts of cat overpopulation, while also providing limited dog desexing assistance in identified high-need communities.
We also support vulnerable people to keep their companion animals healthy and in their homes, recognising the important emotional and wellbeing benefits that pets provide. Through proactive population management and community-based animal welfare programmes, we protect local wildlife, promote responsible pet ownership, and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
TNR (trap, neuter, return) Cat Programme
For those stray wild cats where members of the public feed that are not de-sexed so run the risk of having more unwanted litters. We want to support and assist them by Trapping, Neutering and Returning the neutered cats back to their properties.
Cat Welfare Education
Children and young people will be the cat owners of the future and only by building their understanding and knowledge of cat welfare can we make the world a better place for cats. We plan to offer the appropriate information/guidance to ensure that cats thrive the Auckland community.
Team
The team at Pet Whisperer Rescue are experienced and dedicated animal rescuers, foster carers and volunteers who have worked for many years in the industry all over the Auckland area.
Our top priority is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home kittens/cats and other small animals.
Experienced in critical care management and treatment.
We work every day to reduce the numbers of stray animals in our community and help every animal rescued to find their forever home, where they can feel safe and loved.
